Here are your headlines. First up…
The Massive No Kings Protests
Thousands of people hit the streets across Central Jersey on Saturday for the nationwide “No Kings” protests against the Trump administration. In Rahway, the crowd stretched for blocks along St. Georges Avenue, with folks coming in from nearby towns like Woodbridge and Elizabeth. Similar rallies happened in Plainfield, Red Bank, Maplewood, and more, as local leaders and national figures called for unity and urged everyone to get out and vote.

Edison Mulls E-bike Crackdown

(Credit: Kristoffer Trolle)
Parents in Edison might soon get ticketed if their kids are caught speeding on e-bikes or scooters. Police Chief Thomas Bryan is pushing for a new rule after seeing kids as young as 12 zooming around on modified scooters at speeds of 45 miles per hour. Some council members like the idea for safety reasons, but are questioning whether it's fair to put the blame on parents for what their teenagers do. Chief Bryan mentioned that other towns in Middlesex County have already passed similar laws to help police deal with reckless riding.
Last but not least…
Netflix Shut Down St Georges Ave
A Netflix film shoot shut down a ten-block stretch of St. Georges Avenue in Rahway last Thursday and Friday, drawing crowds and slowing traffic as crews filmed scenes for Bad Day, starring Cameron Diaz. City officials coordinated with local businesses and schools to manage the disruption, calling the event a showcase of Rahway’s growing film-friendly reputation.
